Family Support Offer
What is Family Support?
At Foley Park, we believe that the best support is offered early, as soon as a concern starts to appear, to help prevent difficulties from growing. Family Support can be helpful at any stage of a child’s life, from early childhood through to the teenage years.
Family Support is not about labelling families or immediately passing concerns on to professionals. Instead, it’s about working together, thinking carefully about what support might help and who is best placed to provide it. You don’t need to be an expert to offer support – often, listening and taking small steps can make a big difference.
When families need support, we can help by:
Listening carefully and taking concerns seriously
Working alongside families and other people who may be able to help
Signposting to specialist services where appropriate
Completing a Family Support Assessment together to understand needs and plan next steps
Contacting Children’s Social Care if we believe more specialist help would be beneficial
We work closely with families and partner agencies to ensure children are safe, supported, and able to thrive.
There is also a wide range of information, advice, and support available through Worcestershire County Council’s Advice, Care, Health and Support pages, which include details of local services for children, young people, and families. We are always happy to help families access this support.
If you have any concerns or would like to talk to us about support for your child or family, please contact the school – we are here to help.
At Foley Park, our Pastoral and Safeguarding Team meet frequently to discuss any concerns. This team includes:
